PPGF member and Past-President, Jon Laye was an early adopter of digital
technology. As an associate of Santa Barbara Photography in Boca Raton,
efficient workflow is key to the success of this busy studio.
Jon's presentation will also cover the digital color management that
allows the studio to communicate with their digital lab in a way that allows
for accurate color reproduction.
Plan to arrive by 7:30 pm for networking and to get a good seat. The
program starts promptly at 8:00 pm.

President's Message
On behalf of the Guild
I want to extend my sincere thanks to Domingo Sanchez for the program last
month. It was interesting and informative. Let's not take for granted the
great talent that we have within our association.
Also worthy on mention is that we saw a few members that we have not
seen in a while. It was good to see you and we hope to see you more on a
regular basis. The association is only as good as it's membership.
Our new meeting place represents a turning point for us as our association
turns 50 years old. Since its incorporation in 1954, professional education
has been a major part of our mission. I was glad to see the participation
of the students from the Art Institute. Their eagarness and enthusiasm was
infectious. These students may very well respresent the future of the Guild
so we welcome them with open arms.
I hope to see you at the next meeting.

April
Program - Domingo Sanchez
The April program was the first in our new location, the Art Institute
of Ft. Lauderdale. Many thanks to our presenter, Domingo Sanchez, M.Photog,
Cr. Domingo operates a successful wedding and portrait studio in Coral Gables.
He shared his techniques for recording the wedding, as well as the production
techniques that he uses to design his albums.
Photography students from the Art Institute joined in the discussion
and asked some very good questions. Many of the students attending had already
experienced working a wedding as an assistant and are looking forward to
progressing to the position of a lead photographer.
