 President's Message

In case you haven't noticed, attendance at our guild programs has been low lately. For whatever reason our members have not been showing up to many meetings. We also don't have participation on the board. I don't really buy the "whatever reason", there has to be a reason why many of us are not attending the programs. The key is to figure out why and what we can do to change it.

As your board of directors we try to find the best speakers we can to deliver programs that will be of interest to our members. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. I think lately we have had some very interesting programs on some new and interesting aspects of photography. We still are looking for more and more to cover the ever changing digital photography field that were in now. If you want to see different programs, just let us know and we'll work to bring them to our guild.

Like any other organization, we are run by our members, for our members. The more people get involved, the better the organization is. We still need more board members and help organizing the trade show. The annual trade show is a major task and takes a lot of time and effort to put together. We simply need more people to help make it happen.

Is it the location where we meet? Again, we try to stay in a location that's central to the area that we serve. Again, we always look forward to hearing from members on what would make the meetings more accessible.

In closing, I just want to ask that if anyone has any suggstions, ideas, whatver, just fire off an e-mail and let us know. The bottom line is that we all want to have the best guild that we can.
