her interesting and captivating program. This program was about more
than promoting your website. Maria and her husband, Zeke, are now shooting
their wedding 100% digitally and present their "proofs" on the
internet and on CD. Click here to read the story.

About Gold Coast Exposure Online
As you probably have notices, you have not received a Gold Coast Exposure
magazine in quite some time. Regretfully, the Board had to make the decision
to suspend publication due to lack of support from advertisers. In these
times of shrinking budgets most advertisers have limited their advertising
to statewide and national magazines.
In that it cost in the area of $18,000 a year to produce the magazine,
continued publication was not possible. There once was a time when advertising
revenues were once a significant revenue stream for the association.
Times have changed and so must we. As more of our members obtain email
addresses, the internet can become an effective and cost efficient way for
our members to communicate.

News From the Board of Directors
At the December Board Meeting, Board Members passed some exciting motions:
- The Board feels that members need more feedback and more critique on
their prints. At the beginning of each general membership meeting there
will be a Master Photographer available to critique prints. This is over
and above the Raw Print Competition.
- In the past, the Raw Print Competion excluded digital prints. A separate
competition will be held for digital prints. The rules for the digital
category are virtually the same as for non-digital prints.
All the more reason to attend the meetings. Make sure to bring along
a few prints. |
